Life Absent Membership is for Aberdeen Boat Club members who will leave Hong Kong and reside overseas for a period of absence.
To be eligible, applicants must:
– An Associate Membership
– Have an overseas address before transferring membership (it is not available to residents in Hong Kong).
– Notify the Club of their departure date and overseas address when leaving.
– Fill out the application form, and allow one full month’s notice for changing membership status.
– Complete the required initial qualifying period of six months, during which no club facilities may be used (e.g., transfer at end of January → no facilities from February through July; facilities may resume from 1 August).
– Provide an Overseas Utilities Statement (required before the first facility visit after the six-month waiting period).
