Provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat
Details
A two day practical course that provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis for the International Certificate of Competence. It focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, an introduction to driving at planing speed, and collision regulations.

Note
The Hong Kong Pleasure Vessel Operators Certificate of Competence is the licence required in Hong Kong. It is a theory based exam with no practical element which is one reason why we run the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course. ABC also offers courses to prepare you to sit this HK Government Examination. Instructions
Adult participants should only complete a booking for themselves. Friends or adult family members should complete separate bookings.
Eligibility
You must be a competent swimmer and able to swim 50 meters unaided. Buoyancy aids will be provided and must be worn at all times whilst afloat. All participants must wear buoyancy aids.
Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. All applicants must complete the online booking. Applicants who are not ABC members shall pay by bank transfer within 3 days to complete their booking.
ABC reserve the right to cancel the course due to insufficient applicant 7 days prior the activity starts.
For full day courses, meet around 8:50am at the main clubhouse outdoor playground, course will finish at around 5pm.
Lunch and drinks: Consumption of alcoholic drink is NOT permitted before and during lesson (otherwise you will be required to stay onshore). ABC member may use their membership account to place order. Non-members may purchase lunch and non-alcoholic drinks using Octopus Card for personal consumption at Middle Island. You will have to order lunch in the morning and your food will be ready at lunch time.
Cancellation or modification of course
If you cancel your booking more than one month before the first scheduled day of the course then 50% of course fee will be refunded. There will be no refund if you cancel within one month of the start of the course.
We reserve the right to modify or cancel a course if there are insufficient students or if we feel that there are unmanageable and unacceptable risks to you, our staff or any third party. You will receive a full refund in the event of such a cancellation by the Club.
Courses cancelled by the Club due to inclement weather will be rescheduled or refunded at the discretion of the Club.

5 half days Beginners Sailing Course for 7 to 11yr olds.
Junior Stage 2
5 half days Sailing Course for 7 to 11yr olds who have passed stage 1
Junior Stage 3
5 half days Sailing Course for 7 to 11yr olds who have passed stage 2.
Junior Reacher
5 half days Sailing Course for 7 to 11yr olds who have passed stage 3.
Junior Stage 4
5 half days Sailing Course for 7 to 11yr olds who have passed stage 3.
Junior Explorer
Sunday half-day Explorer Programme for 8 to 11yr olds who have already completed a Junior Reacher or Stage 4 course.
