Adult Intermediate Sailing Courses are generally scheduled on every other Sundays and are open to both club members and non-members. These courses are designed to develop the skills that have been learnt on the HKSF Level 1 and 2 course. Therefore sailors need to hold the Level 2 certificate or have equivalent experience. This course also helps build hours as Level 3 requires 40hours logged since passing Level 1 & 2.

Instructions

Adult participants should only complete a booking for themselves. Friends or adult family members should complete separate bookings.

To be accepted onto the Adult Intermediate Sailing Course you need to have completed the HKSF Beginner Level 1 & 2 Course or have equivalent experience and you need to be able to swim and have confidence in the water.

Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. All applicants must complete the online booking. Applicants who are not ABC members shall pay by bank transfer within 3 days to complete their booking.

All participants must wear buoyancy aids.

ABC reserve the right to cancel the course due to insufficient applicant prior the activity starts.

For full day courses, meet around 8:50am at the main clubhouse outdoor playground, course will finish at around 5pm.

Lunch and drinks: Consumption of alcoholic drink is NOT permitted before and during lesson (otherwise you will be required to stay onshore). ABC member may use their membership account to place order. Non-members may purchase lunch and non-alcoholic drinks using Octopus Card for personal consumption at Middle Island. You will have to order lunch in the morning and your food will be ready at lunch time.

Cancellation or modification of course
If you cancel your booking more than one month before the first scheduled day of the course then 50% of course fee will be refunded. There will be no refund if you cancel within one month of the start of the course.
We reserve the right to modify or cancel a course if there are insufficient students or if we feel that there are unmanageable and unacceptable risks to you, our staff or any third party. You will receive a full refund in the event of such a cancellation by the Club.
Courses cancelled by the Club due to inclement weather will be rescheduled or refunded at the discretion of the Club.
